A BILL to amend article two, chapter twenty of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
by adding thereto a new section, designated section
twenty-nine, relating to wildlife resources; and providing
that spouses and dependents of residents of West Virginia on
active duty in the armed forces of the United States of
America may be issued a resident license or permit, even if
stationed out of the state.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article two, chapter twenty of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
twenty-nine, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. WILDLIFE RESOURCES.
§20-2-29. Military family resident license.
The spouses and dependents of residents of West Virginia on
active duty in the armed forces of the United States of America,
have the right and privilege to hunt, trap or fish in season in
West Virginia by acquiring a resident license to do so, even when
stationed out of the state of West Virginia.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit spouses and
dependents of residents of West Virginia on active military duty
to be issued a resident license or permit, even if stationed out
of the state.
